Cincinnati – August 1, 2011 – Seapine Software will help celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Agile Manifesto at the Agile2011 conference. At the Seapine booth, attendees can register to win an iPad 2 and get free Agile Expedition Gear, including an eye-catching Agile Badger t-shirt, a copy of Exploring Agile: The Seapine Agile Expedition, and other giveaways.
Seapine’s Agile Services team will be sharing ideas and experiences with anyone interested in learning or discussing Agile concepts and practices. Visitors to the booth can also see a demonstration of TestTrack for Agile project management and a new task board that enables teams to work with tasks in a Kanban-type interface via web and mobile devices.
Agile2011’s theme is “Back to the Future—10 Years of Agility and Beyond.” Featuring a reunion of the Agile Manifesto signatories, Agile2011 will give attendees the chance to learn from the deep experiences of the individuals that started the Agile movement and forever changed software development for the better.
Keynote speakers at Agile2011 include Dr. Barbara Fredrickson, Kenan Distinguished Professor of Psychology and recipient of the American Psychological Association's Templeton Prize in Positive Psychology; Kevlin Henney, an independent consultant, trainer, and author based in the UK, well known for his speaking, writing and humor; and Linda Rising, Ph.D., an internationally known presenter and author on topics related to patterns, retrospectives, agile development approaches, and the change process.
The Agile approach focuses on delivering business value early in the project lifetime and being able to incorporate emergent requirements. Agile2011 provides an open forum for the exchange of information regarding all Agile development technologies: Extreme Programming (XP), SCRUM, Lean, and Kanban, as well as technical practices such as Test Driven Development (TDD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD), pair programming, retrospectives, continuous integration, etc.
